Course description

Target Audience:
Healthcare providers (e.g., nurses, physicians, EMTs, dentists), public safety professionals, and other individuals who require BLS certification for employment or licensure.

Course Format:
Instructor-led or blended (online + in-person skills session)
Duration: Approximately 4-6 hours
Certification: 2-year certification upon successful completion

Course Objectives

By the end of the BLS course, participants will be able to:

1. Recognize the signs of cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, and airway obstruction in adults, children, and infants.
2. Perform high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, including chest compressions, ventilation, and use of a barrier device.
3. Demonstrate the proper use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) for victims of cardiac arrest.
4. Provide effective rescue breathing for individuals in respiratory arrest.
5. Relieve choking in responsive and unresponsive victims of all age groups.
6. Apply the BLS Chain of Survival in real-life scenarios to improve patient outcomes.
7. Coordinate effectively as part of a team during multi-rescuer resuscitation efforts.
